Golden milk

Ingredients

  • 500ml soya milk
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • 2 tsp turmeric (ground)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (ground)
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom (ground)
  • 1/4 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1/4 tsp pepper (ground)

Allergens are marked in bold.

Method

If you prefer it less spicy, remove some or all of the chilli flakes. The soya milk can be replaced with any other dairy or nut milk.
1. Mix together all the dry spices. Gently heat up the soya milk and water, but do not boil the mixture. Add the spices and maple syrup and stir until everything is incorporated. Simmer for a few minutes to let the flavours meld.
2. Divide the golden milk among cups and enjoy immediately.
